L - Steve Hillage [1976]
Daft not punk. With year zero just around the corner Hillage elects to mantra up and blast off into new age trancy prog lunar suites and cosmic hurdy gurdy glissando, and producing top hole results to boot. So fair enough says y brawd.
Ambient techno cultdom beckoned.

L for lucid, lyrical and lovable. As a 17-year-old I hitched to Brighton to see him (on the Green tour) and missed the last train home, kipping on a stranger's floor. Motivation Radio and Rainbow Dome Musik are the ones for me though.
'kinell.
This is one of the two Albums that changed my life in the late 70s (OK the other one was "Ra" by Todd Rundgren and Utopia)...
When you hear that guitar riff towards the end of "It's All Too Much" ... the shivers STILL go through my entire body (and these days it's got nowt to do with "substances" ...)Even just thinking about that riff ...
Marvellous.
Cheers Mike.
