Delightful wyrd-psych. ISB are the touchstone – bazouki and oud bring to mind the Asia Minor feel of The Song Has No Ending – and also The John Renbourn Group whose A Maid in Bedlam uses flute and tablas to the same diverting effect. With some very strong song writing, a couple of hands in the air sing-song endings you want to go on and on but have the good sense not to, and a lady channeling the unearthly keening of Likky McKechnie, and you have the makings of a very fine album indeed.
